Mobile marketing by retailers to hit $55 billion

It’s a good time to be supplying retailers with mobile marketing solutions. According to U.K.-based analysts at Juniper Research, spending by retailers on mobile marketing will reach $55 billion by 2015, up from $28 billion this year.

Juniper Research release study "Retail mCommerce: Mobile & Tablet Marketing, Advertising & Coupon Strategies 2013–2017," saying that mobile marketing by retailers will be up to $55 billion by 2015, up from $28 billion in 2013. In the study Juniper credits the rise of tablets for the major spike in mobile marketing spending for retailers. Study also revealed mobile marketing is working to drive customers into retail stores with mobile couponing.
